Woog in Darmstadt

Pleasant atmosphere in one of the few places with water in Darmstadt. Nice view at any time of the day and diverse activities possible around.

Simply one of my favorite places in Darmstadt. Sitting by the water, nice, always eager service, good cuisine. Breakfast or in the evening, a great location. I really enjoy being here with my customers who don't know Darmstadt. Then always comes the feedback: "Darmstadt is really beautiful"! Sure, of course!

I've already had breakfast here twice and I'm thrilled. The staff is very friendly, the selection large enough and the prices reasonable. Everything always tastes very fresh and delicious. I would love to come back!

Corona time. We had to sit inside because of the weather. Loud, bad acoustics, bad air, simple seating and tables. Character of a student canteen. Various breakfast options are offered until around 2 p.m. Then homemade cake, very tasty. From 5 p.m. warm meals are offered. You have to like the location in order to rate it better. Certainly attractive in summer because it is located directly on the Woog.

Very good food (also with a good vegetarian selection) and nice staff. Relatively small restaurant, which is why it is always worth making a reservation.

Modern café with a nice view, prices high but ok. Usually very, very crowded at the weekend.

Everything is very good, first time I went and I would like to return, I imagine that in summer it must be a beauty 😍, so I will return soon.

Nice place but service could be much better. It's not busy and we waited 15 minutes for someone to serve us because the waitresses were too busy chatting and laughing. Apparently serving guests is not fun because they are not necessarily nice either.

Nice team. In summer you can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the food. Good view of the Woog. Unfortunately problematic parking and the terrace is full of wasps

Nice ambience, rude staff. At first we weren't noticed and when we were at the front of the queue the people behind us got a seat first. Staff generally seem to have little fun and show this to their customers. Cake was delicious

Small portions for so much money, the food was nice and nicely presented. Very long wait until you get something, we waited 30 minutes for the bill. The view made the whole thing a little more bearable.

We were assigned a table at which we sat. Then another employee came to us and said that we weren't allowed to sit there and had to get up again. No coordination among employees. Very unprofessional behavior. Am very disappointed.

Great view, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Can you ask for more? They have a relatively small menu but everything is delicious and you will find something .

I never got the coffee which I ordered...twice...

The view of Woog is lovely and if you want ambiance, by all means, go for it. But unfortunately, my experience here was sub-par. Admittedly, being a larger company may have contributed, but I arrived at 12:30 and finally got something to eat at 13:40. I tried catching the waitstaff's attention multiple times, in the end even by waving the menu, and despite eye contact, noone came for a very long time. When I arrived, the table and seats were covered with crumbs. The egg dishes seem tempting, especially with the notice about bio eggs in the menu, but most eggs were dried to death. Scrambled eggs should not be this overcooked, all moisture was gone. The Italian breakfast had an unimpressive amount of food on the plate, a little underwhelming for the price. After I ate it, I found a piece of an eggshell in the plate - there are no eggs in the dish! A friend ordered a sunny side up. The yolk clearly broke during the cooking, the chef still fried it to death and served it. Where was the Spiegel in that Spiegelei?

Beautiful view and delicious plum crumble cake. It's a bit on the pricey side. The staff is really friendly, nonetheless you might wait quite a while for someone to take your order.

Really nice café / restaurant. Especially the outdoor seatings are great in the summer. It's a quite popular place for breakfast and lunch, so don't expect to get your favourite table without reservation.

Good food but very unfriendly staff and lack of cleanliness in the inside seating area.

Really cool restaurant located beautifully at the waterside. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The food is very good ( I've been there for lunch) and the prices are reasonable. The staff is fast and friendly. Parking is usually available close by.
